Rest of the World triumph after a play-off in the Azata Golf Ryder Cup

Over three days from 4th - 6th October, a team representing Spain played a Ryder Cup style competition against a team representing the Rest of the World.

Day One saw the Rest of the World win 5 1/2 vs 3 1/2 in the foursomes only for the scores to be reversed on Day Two.

The nine singles matches on Day Three were also equally divided with each team winning 9.

So the final scorings were 18 vs 18 - and a winner had to be decided.

Each captain nominated three players to play the par 3 10th hole - with the first team to win the hole being declared the overall winner.

The first player for the Rest of the World team, Graham Bassi birdied the hole and the match was decided with the Rest of the World team taking the trophy this time around.

A great three days were enjoyed by all, and both sets of players are looking forward to next year!
